Life is an ever winding road. And even though we are all well aware that highs and lows are apart of the process…we are still sometimes surprised when life throws us a curve ball that forces us to make an adjustment. I believe it’s human nature to seek comfort over stability during trying times. But experience has taught me that all great things take time. It is not my job to control what happens, it is my responsibility to thrive in the process. We have been building our dream home for more than 3 years now and it has been extremely challenging to say the least. Each stage of the process has brought about new obstacles that we have had to overcome. Modifications have been made to the design in certain areas, some of the original selections we chose in the beginning were discontinued by the time we were ready to install, and many of the sub-contractors we started with have come and gone. But what I know for sure is that I don’t get to determine who stays on the job until the end, my only job is to build to completion. And every time I have to make an adjustment, I get excited because I’m one step closer to my goal. When it is all said and done, the challenges will be a distant memory, but I will have the rest of my life to enjoy the finished product! Many people will stop and marvel at our blessing but won’t understand half of what we went through to build our masterpiece! Always remember, many of the ones who start with you won’t finish with you, but it doesn’t make the victory any less sweet! 💗EB #TheHouseThatOGBuilt #OurMasterpiece #SurvivingTheGame #UnderConstruction #BuildToCompletion #EarleneBuggs #HoltonBuggs #ABuggsLife #EBsPinkNotes💗
